How to cancel SiriusXM
A clear, step-by-step guide to cancelling your SiriusXM Streaming, plus the things worth checking before you leave.
Before you cancel
- There's no fixed contract, so you can cancel anytime. Your access simply runs to the end of the period you've paid for.
- Expect to be offered a retention discount or loyalty deal to make you stay. If you're sure you want to cancel, stand your ground.
- There may be a notice period, so you can be billed for a short while after you ask to leave. Cancel as early as you can.
- If you subscribed through Apple, Google or another provider, you must cancel with them, not SiriusXM directly.
- Get a confirmation (on-screen or by email) and keep it as proof of the date you cancelled.
How to cancel SiriusXM, step by step
- Sign in at siriusxm.com and open the Online Account Center.
- Go to the 'Subscriptions' tab and use the option to cancel your direct-billed subscription.
- If you'd rather not self-serve, chat with a Listener Care agent (online chat is available 24/7) and ask to cancel.
- Or call Listener Care on 1-866-635-8641 (direct-billed cancellations), expect retention offers.
- Cancel more than 24 hours before your renewal date, otherwise the subscription may renew and charge you.

- Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid auto-renewal.
- Early-exit charge
- None on standard plans; refunds on prepaid time are prorated (minus fees). Lifetime and trial subscriptions are non-refundable. Dispute any charge within 30 days.
