How to cancel Rosetta Stone

A clear, step-by-step guide to cancelling your Rosetta Stone Software, plus the things worth checking before you leave.

Before you cancel

  • There's no fixed contract, so you can cancel anytime. Your access simply runs to the end of the period you've paid for.
  • Expect to be offered a retention discount or loyalty deal to make you stay. If you're sure you want to cancel, stand your ground.
  • There may be a notice period, so you can be billed for a short while after you ask to leave. Cancel as early as you can.
  • If you subscribed through Apple, Google or another provider, you must cancel with them, not Rosetta Stone directly.

How to cancel Rosetta Stone, step by step

  1. Sign in on a computer - cancelling is not available in the mobile app or mobile website.
  2. Click your current learning language in the top toolbar and choose 'My Account'.
  3. Under 'Your products', select 'TURN OFF AUTO RENEW'.
  4. For a refund within the 30-day guarantee, contact support by phone (1-800-767-3882) or email with your order number.
  5. Keep the confirmation; refunds can take up to 10 business days.
