How to cancel MasterClass

A clear, step-by-step guide to cancelling your MasterClass Software, plus the things worth checking before you leave.

Before you cancel

You may be in a minimum contract, so leaving early can trigger an early-exit charge. Ask for the exact figure before you agree to anything.
Expect to be offered a retention discount or loyalty deal to make you stay. If you're sure you want to cancel, stand your ground.
Cancel before your next renewal date to avoid being charged for another period.
If you subscribed through Apple, Google or another provider, you must cancel with them, not MasterClass directly.
Get a confirmation (on-screen or by email) and keep it as proof of the date you cancelled.

Log in at www.masterclass.com on a web browser (you can't cancel in the app).
Click your profile or account menu (top right) and select 'Settings'.
In the Membership section, click 'Cancel Membership'.
On the next screen, select 'Cancel Now' to confirm.
Your subscription is set to cancel at the end of the current billing period and stays active until the renewal date; you'll get a confirmation email.
