Cancellation guide
How to cancel Evernote
A clear, step-by-step guide to cancelling your Evernote Software, plus the things worth checking before you leave.
Before you cancel
- There's no fixed contract, so you can cancel anytime. Your access simply runs to the end of the period you've paid for.
- Expect to be offered a retention discount or loyalty deal to make you stay. If you're sure you want to cancel, stand your ground.
- Cancel before your next renewal date to avoid being charged for another period.
- If you subscribed through Apple, Google or another provider, you must cancel with them, not Evernote directly.
- Get a confirmation (on-screen or by email) and keep it as proof of the date you cancelled.
How to cancel Evernote, step by step
- Sign in to Evernote on the web and open your Account Settings, then select 'Billing' from the left-hand menu.
- At the bottom of the Billing page, select 'Cancel subscription'.
- Scroll to the bottom and click 'Continue to cancel'.
- Provide a reason when prompted, then click 'Cancel subscription' to confirm.
- You'll get an email confirmation; in Billing History a 'Restore' button means it's cancelled and won't renew.
