Cancellation guide
How to cancel Coursera Plus
A clear, step-by-step guide to cancelling your Coursera Plus Software, plus the things worth checking before you leave.
Before you cancel
- There's no fixed contract, so you can cancel anytime. Your access simply runs to the end of the period you've paid for.
- Expect to be offered a retention discount or loyalty deal to make you stay. If you're sure you want to cancel, stand your ground.
- Cancel before your next renewal date to avoid being charged for another period.
- If you subscribed through Apple, Google or another provider, you must cancel with them, not Coursera Plus directly.
- Get a confirmation (on-screen or by email) and keep it as proof of the date you cancelled.
How to cancel Coursera Plus, step by step
- Log in to coursera.org and open your account menu (top right), then go to 'My Purchases'.
- Open the 'Subscriptions' tab and find your Coursera Plus subscription. Note the date of your next charge before you cancel.
- Click the 'Cancel subscription' link next to your Coursera Plus plan.
- Confirm the cancellation.
- You keep full access to the included content until the end of the current billing period; Course Certificates you earned stay in your account and in-progress work is saved for if you re-subscribe.
