How to cancel Audible

A clear, step-by-step guide to cancelling your Audible Streaming, plus the things worth checking before you leave.

Before you cancel

There's no fixed contract, so you can cancel anytime. Your access simply runs to the end of the period you've paid for.
Expect to be offered a retention discount or loyalty deal to make you stay. If you're sure you want to cancel, stand your ground.
Cancel before your next renewal date to avoid being charged for another period.
If you subscribed through Apple, Google or another provider, you must cancel with them, not Audible directly.
Get a confirmation (on-screen or by email) and keep it as proof of the date you cancelled.

Go to audible.com (or your local Audible site) in a web browser and sign in. You cannot cancel from the Audible app.
On desktop: select your username in the top navigation, then 'Account details'. On mobile web: open the menu, then 'Account'.
Select the 'Cancel membership' link.
Work through the retention offers (including the option to pause instead), keep selecting 'Continue to cancel' until you reach the confirmation page.
Confirm cancellation.
